A limerick is a poetic ryhme scheme that consists of five lines of text. The last word of the first line must rhyme (either literally or phonetically) with the last word of line two and line five. Additionally, the last word of line three must rhyme with the last word of line four, but neither can rhyme with the last words of line one, two, and five.
